Wellgate Slotstox is a slot racing car club based at Ascension Hall next to White Hart Lane, Collier Row Road, Romford Essex. Racing most Fridays throughout the year.

New members are always welcome both adult and junior. Come along and give it a try, We will lend you a car !

Our club stages authentic short circuit contact racing for 1/32 scale F1 and F2 BriSCA stock cars and bangers.

The racing is organised into heats, consolations, finals and Grand Nationals. Its cheap, competitive and exciting.

The Track is a scale 1/4 mile oval with chicanes down the back straight to allow full contact and de-slotting of opponents cars and there is a post and wire fence just like real circuits.

Members build their own cars based on the 1/32 PARMA Womp or Homeset RTR (ready-to-run) Slotcar Kit so that all cars have exactly the same metal chassis, motor and running gear.

Drivers are graded according to ability - best start at the back (red roofs), beginners at the front (white roofs). All drivers compete in heats in an attempt to qualify for the final and also score points towards league championships.

The accent is on driver ability and tactics and not building expensive or technically superior machinery.
